Post Pluto is a five-piece progressive rock and funk band from Pensacola, Florida that experiments with many different genres, styles and improvisational attitudes in their music. This fresh and fearless approach has allowed them to storm the festival and jam scenes over the past few years. Since the band’s inception in 2013, Post Pluto has created a reputation for their dynamic high-energy shows, unexpected covers, extended jams, and a packed dance floors.
In that short amount of time, Post Pluto has had the honor of sharing the stage with many greats, including George Clinton’s Parliament Funkadelic, Roosevelt Collier, Zach Deputy (x3), Eric Lindell, Dumpstaphunk, The Heavy Pets, The Main Squeeze, Earphunk, and Honey Island Swamp band. The band has also performed at many regional music festivals such as: Suwannee Hulaween (x2), Slide into Spring, Zach Deputy’s Disc Jam, Suwannee Getdown, Pass The Good, Great Outdoors Jam and many more.
With the release of their first studio album “New Horizons” in the fall of 2015, Post Pluto has parlayed its instant chemistry into a cohesive and remarkably mature sound that’s all their own. As the album title suggests, this is a band that embraces the possibilities of the unknown, no matter what those sonic worlds may be. Catch them as they blast across the Southeast and galaxies beyond in the upcoming months.
