John Milham

John Milham has been a professional musician since 1997 touring the world and playing drums with many artists. Twenty years into his career, John has established himself as an in demand touring and studio drummer while recently establishing himself as a composer with his upcoming record debut “Arden’s Garden” due for a February 2, 2018 release on Skate Mountain Records. John has played, recorded, shared the stage or toured with Grayson Capps, Molly Thomas and The Rare Birds,Johnny Sansone,The Bodhi Trio, Jake Peavy Band,Lisa Mills,Eric Erdman,Papa Mali,Leon Brown,Rick Hirsch,Chris Severin, Kevin Scott, George Porter Jr, Jennifer Hartswick,Chris Spies,Rebecca Roubion,Oh Jeremiah,Bo Diddley,Albert Simpson and many more. John also puts his energy into teaching music to kids in his community. John host a kids summer percussion camp every summer in Mobile and Fairhope Alabama and also at The Lauren Rogers Museum of Art in Laurel Mississippi. Every Christmas season John produces a charitable Christmas concert called “The Charlie Brown Jazz Christmas Concert” where his trio performs the entire soundtrack to the classic Vince Guaraldi Soundtrack.  In 2013 John went to school and became a registered Yoga instructor. John had been practicing Yoga 10 years. The practice really gave him a higher quality of life and he wanted to learn how to share the benefits of this practice with his community. He is working on a method book that combines ancient Yogic practice and philosophy with the art of playing music. He is now teaching Yoga and Mindfulness workshops around the southeast. He lives in Laurel Mississippi with his wife Andrea, three kids John Brooks Ana, and Arden and their cat named Fiona.
