The boys next door have something brewing in the barn behind the house. Familiar bleeding punk riffs boil amidst ripped jeans and old Gorillaz records while their spirit in a jar wails overhead. These boys next door are Tuscaloosa’s own blues-punk kings, Doc Holiday. First dreamed up in the small town of Pendleton, South Carolina, Doc Holiday delivers a powerful, gritty, and thoroughly southern mantra. Twin brothers Seth and Spencer Burden (drums and bass, respectively), Aaron Langford (vocals), and Daniel Parker (guitar) command their stage with both color and heart, boasting over 70 shows in 2015 alone. In 2013, Doc Holiday perfected their first self-titled release under the guidance of Michael Washburn of Ledbelly Sound Studio in Dawsonville, Georgia (Mastodon, Norma Jean, and Four Hour Fogger). After a year of gigging relentlessly in promotion of their first EP, Doc Holiday released “Diecast Devils”, grounding their uniquely wild and soulful sound. In January of 2016, the boys next door packed up and moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama. They are currently crafting their first full-length release and an accompanying southeastern tour to promote this highly-anticipated record.
