Brenda Bledsoe has lived most of her life in Wyoming and Colorado, and now resides in Daphne, AL. She has been playing the guitar and flute since grade school, and her passion for music continues to blossom. She performs throughout the Gulf Coast area, and is often found sitting in with songwriter friends, singing harmony or playing the flute. “The culture and people of lower Alabama have inspired me to write and grow as an artist. We are quickly evolving into a hotbed of original ‘Southern roots’-style music, with world-class production talent in the area. I’m sort of a late-bloomer in my music career, and really enjoying the journey. The greatest gift as a performer is when listeners not only hear, but also feel my songs.”
Brenda has been a songwriter for over 10 years, inspired by the places she has lived, and the interesting people who have impacted her life. She has a crystal clear voice with a Western/folk style, and sings with heart-felt intensity, songs about culture, life changes, love and personal loss. Local fans often refer to her as “Emmy Lou”. Her favorite artists include Alison Krauss, Eilen Jewell, The Wailin’ Jennys, and Fairhope-based Molly Thomas.
Brenda is currently working on her first professional recording project. Please join her mailing list at the bottom of the HOME page for performance times and contact info.
